Recreation: Enhancing Quality of Life

Our clients enjoy planning and participating in weekly recreation outings into the surrounding communities. The groups consist of 4-5 people that enjoy each other's company. They plan their own experiences with the help of a Recreational Assistant. Some examples of outings are, shopping, movies, museums, art shows, horse shows, bowling, playing pool, dancing, and of course, eating out. Clients receive staff support to attend the church of their choice in the community.

Smaller special events each month bring the agency together for picnics, dances, cook-offs, and costume parties.

Quarterly, we coordinate recreational events to places such as the St. Louis Cardinals ball games, concerts, and theater productions.

We offer annual vacations that are paid for through our fund-raising efforts. Past destinations have included: Branson, MO, Disney World, Memphis and Chicago.
